New release from @atlascastledk from their upcoming full length, Patterns.
You’ve selected the last piece of coarse sandpaper that you know for a fact still exists at the bottom of your toolbox. While not the ideal tool for removing a few decades of weather grime and paint from an old Adirondack chair, it will have to do for this particular project. You produce a short, aggressive poof of air to blow away steel wool shavings and other such particles that also reside on the bottom of the toolbox. You’d like to damage the chair but only to a specified extent. Wishing you had a few more sand grains per square inch, you quickly see this chair’s past turn to dust that floats around you. Health standards were a bit more lenient for the paint that was once applied to this chair, and you briefly consider the amount of lead that may be inhaled. It’s too late to turn back though. The choice to physically strip away these remnants has already been made, and modern health code doesn’t need to be upheld in this backyard sanding station. New Layers will be applied once the dirt is swept away and a few bolts will need to be tightened. For now, the well-designed bones need a moment to breathe.
